As a career military man, Gen Prayut does not understand that a modern government cannot rule by force alone. No case more clearly demonstrates the changing popular sentiment than the one involving Gen Prawit and his numerous watches. As it is widely known that Gen Prawit and Gen Prayut are close brothers-in-arms, the sentiments against Gen Prawit can be taken to indicate the general public feelings toward the junta itself.
